“Welcome, Baby!” Community Baby Shower

The Welcome Baby Shower in Douglas County was held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Roseburg High School from 10:30 – 2:30.

Thank you for joining our annual “Welcome, Baby!” Community Baby Shower in Douglas County. The HCCSO team and our Perinatal Task Force partners were pleased to welcome new families who were expecting or have recently had a baby to this event.

The purpose of this event was to connect families with resources, trustworthy information, other local families, and community support, and of course, to have FUN! Whether you’re a parent, mother, father, partner, expecting, or already adapting to your new life with a baby, the Community Baby Shower is an excellent place to get to know the local resources available for Southern Oregon families.

Healthy Start of Southern Oregon

Healthy Start of Southern Oregon provides direct client services through partnering agencies and also convenes task forces in Josephine and Douglas Counties to improve systems of care related to infant and maternal health.

The regional meeting for the Southern Oregon Perinatal Task Force is coming up this Friday, May 3, 2024 via Zoom.

This group focuses on improving health outcomes for our communities during the perinatal period — before, during, and after pregnancy. Meetings are geared toward professional development and collaboration across Josephine and Douglas county lines.

The May meeting will include a training, and then break out sessions to share ideas and thoughts about how we can apply the training in our local communities.
